I have a pretty high tolerance for this kind of stuff, but this is easily the worst experience Ive ever had at an airport. It took them 90 minutes to find a gate for our plane. It took them 45 minutes to get our bags to the baggage claim after that. Then one of the AirTrain lines was broken and it took 25 minutes for the replacement train to come. Then the train we were on broke down and it took another 10 minutes for us to get going on another train. There will never be a worse airport than Newark.
It was hard to order at the restaurants because you had to scan some bar code and My phone was having difficulties. The facilities were clean and well maintained. Newark was better than I expected it to be.
Oh dear, it's bad. If you have a rental car, you have to go through every single terminal and loop around which increases traffic for no reason. I think they built the airport with no real plans and just built things on top of each other. Layout makes no sense. Signage sucks. And then you finally get to security and it's one lane for everyone. Have pre-check? What about Clear? Forget about it. Everything is closed. The Newark reputation is spot on
