Mr. Levinson, You purchased a 2020 BMW X4 M40i with less than 9,000 miles from us on March 11th. You notified us the next day that you had a flat tire. We agreed that you could take your vehicle to a local tire vendor of choice to have it looked at. What we did not agree to, was the replacement of all four tires and therefore your demand to have us pay for them could not be met. It is not our policy to negotiate sales based third party invoices that werent authorized by management or our service center. In the event that a customer has an issue with a vehicle they purchase from us, we always encourage them to bring it back to our full service repair shop so we can assess and address the issue, or to have open communication and transparency before any additional work is performed.

CONSUMERS BEWARE! I purchased a 2020 BMW x4M40i in March, 2022. Unfortunately, since my in-dealership experience, I have been quite disappointed with the following events this car has created. I WANT TO WARN OTHER CONSUMERS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP'S UNSCRUPULOUS AND MISLEADING PRACTICES. This is a description of the timeline and costs that have been associated with the 2020 BMW since purchasing it on Friday. Within 24 Hours of purchasing the car, the air pressure sensor went off on the back left tire. I brought it into my local Big-O-Tires, assuming I ran over a nail on my ride home. They instead mentioned I had a slow leak in the tire's inner wall that was irreplaceable. Quick note: I asked the finance manager if anything was wrong with the tires within the first day or so if you would cover it, and he said yes. I asked this because I have bought a used car before and experienced tire problems, so I wanted to get some assurance these were new. Not only was that tire faulty, but the thread on the edge of the front two tires were just at the level of needing replacement (level 3 needs replacement, and one was level 4, the other 5). I provided photo evidence attached here. The sales team said I needed to bring the car to the dealership to show their team the tires, but I couldn't drive the car back and forth with one new tire because all four tires need to be uniform on AWD. So even if I did the bare minimum and replaced the back two from the slow leak, the front two tires were the ones that needed replacement from the tread. This incident cost me more than just the repair cost (Ubers, time away from work), but I gave their team a reasonable offer in the interest of time to split the costs, which was more than fair because three of the four tires were defective (I should have asked for three to be reimbursed). Autolinx team made it clear they would only pay for one, so I am taking these costs and leaving the interaction unsatisfied. Total Cost within 24 hours: $1,398.15. When driving home from their dealership, I heard a buzzing coming from the right passenger window. I assumed it was the way the seatbelt was flapping in the wind, and I thought it would pass. However, come yesterday, the sound persisted. Knowing that the car was under warranty, I took it to my local BMW Dealership. Today, I received a diagnosis. This is directly from the service manager at BMW SF: Hey Jake, Vincent from BMW SF. So the noise is coming from the passenger side-view mirror cap. The mirror cap is currently vinyl-wrapped. When the mirror cap was removed, the retaining tabs to lock on to the mirror assembly was broken, and so the mirror cap is loose, which its why it is causing a whistling noise. Unfortunately, because it had been tampered with and is not a defect in the actual product from factory. I am unable to do the work under warranty. It will need a new mirror cap. The cause for a new cap painted and installed is about $620, which includes the technician's time to source the noise. Now I'm receiving another bill from BMW SF because this vinyl wrapping voided the warranty on the side mirror. This cost is estimated at $620 from BMW and already charging me $320 for investigative labor since the warrant didn't cover this. Increased costs: $620 for this mirror repair. I am happy to connect you to the service representative at BMW SF if you'd like to ask them questions directly. My total costs for this car within the first week will be ~$2,018.15. I am not sure if this dealer swapped the tires or repaired a faulty mirror without disclosing this information or not, but they haven't been willing to acknowledge or help in any way. I expected our solution to be that we split this number 50/50 as a compromise. This offer I am providing is entirely fair. They were unwilling to make me feel like they did anything to improve my situation and I feel deceived by this dealership. IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING BUYING A USED CAR, DO IT FROM AN ACTUAL DEALER - DO NOT SHOP HERE.

We received a great review from you and your sons stating how happy you were with your purchase of your VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI. We are saddened that after nearly 7 months you didn't show us the courtesy of contacting us about the tires and allowing us to discuss options to remedy this situation before your having work performed. It is not and has never been our policy for a customer to provide us an invoice for work performed by any third party without prior consent. We are committed to making sure that our customers feel safe and taken care of when they purchase a vehicle from us. We provided that to you at the time of purchase as you and your families prior comments attest.

My visit and purchase from AutoLinx was painless, very welcoming, just an overall great experience No pressure..car sold itself. Everyone I delt with was a pleasure to meet and work with. Thank you AutoLinx....LOVE my VW JETTA SPORTS WAGON TDI... Well just an update on my vehicle ( that I still like) I've put just a little over 2000 miles on car, but decided that I'd get an oil change before going on a long road trip. Found out that oil FILTER had NOT been ever changed out ( orginial from 2012) but the worst part was the new tires ( I was told were on the vehicle) were not only CRACKED BUT ORGINIAL 2012 TIRES which my mechanic pointed out. He said DO NOT take on any road trips until new tires. Next day new tires all around..Les Schwab confirmed BAD TIRES!! PICTURES TAKEN I was so fortunate that nothing happened while driving back and forth ( 2000 miles) to misc places in the months I've had the car. My son and daughter has contacted them so I could at least get reimbursed for the tires I had to purchase for safety reasons because they lied to me about having good tires at time of purchase. BAD ON THEM. WATCH OUT ELDERS....

Hi Norma, The 2009 BMW M3 with 106k miles passed our safety inspection and smog check prior to the sale. We are sorry that the check engine light came on shortly after you received the car. With an older specialty car like this typically a car manufacturer will recommend maintenance that goes above what is usually necessary. We are sorry that we didnt hear about your complaint prior to you leaving this review online.

After purchasing this car not even 50 miles in and the service engine light turned on. I took it to the BMW dealership their diagnosis was REPLACING ALL 4 02 SENSORS (FOUND FAULT CODES 00277C AND 0027C7 BOTH ARE FOR THE OXYGEN SENSORS BOTH BANKS,TEST PAN STATED TO REPLACE THE UPSTREAM 02 SENSORS AND IF FAULT RETURNES REPLACE LOWER SENSORES)Fail $1,824.65, Replace both valve cover gaskets (Found engine major oil leak) Fail $1,321.18, and Diagnose transmission fluid leak (Found transmission fluid minor leak) Fail $193.05. I understand that it's a used car but for the price I was expecting it with no engine issues as they assure me it didn't. Now I need to pay a additional $3,663.34. I would not recommend this place for your car purchase.
