Andrea - We agree this situation is very disappointing. In June of 2016, when the job was being quoted, you learned that your client expected you to pay for the marketing, so you decided that you only wanted to spend the money for the temporary solution of double-sided tape on banners because you did not want to pay for vinyl window graphics, which we initially recommended and quoted. Therefore, this is what we sold and installed in July of 2016. When you called us about this 18 months later letting us know the banners had fallen, all we asked was a minimal fee to cover our expenses to drive the over an hour (each way) and spend the time to re-tape the banners. I believe I initially quoted less than $400 total. Considering nobody would warranty this type of solution really for any time frame as it is absolutely a temporary one I felt this was fair. You were, let us just say, unsatisfied with us charging for this 18 months later. We are sorry you feel that way, but not surprised. We do stand behind our work, but when a client chooses solution B, they can?t expect to get the features of solution A, and that is the case here. You have manipulated our conversation a bit and left out a lot of this story on your review, but that is ok. We apologize that we can?t satisfy your printing needs but are happy to hear that you have found someone else that can and as I told you on our last call wish you the best of luck.

Very disappointing. They do not stand behind their work. They printed and installed a custom sign application at a large retail property we are selling. It included over 20 windows. The signs fell down and when I called the owner (Mike), he said that we would have to pay to have the signs re-hung up even though the original price we paid included installation (which was done poorly with a few pieces of double sided tape). Mike said he didn't make enough money on the job to begin with so it wasn't worth their time to re-install so they had to charge. He also said that because we don't give them enough business he didn't feel like he had to "do extra work much less free work" (we started using another company because we found better pricing and service on many products so because of that they won't stand behind their work on this project). I then said I would pay for the installation but asked if he could install it with enough tape to guarantee the signs would stay up / not fall down for 1 year. He said he wouldn't guarantee they would stay up for any amount of time. Just to end the debate I said OK, I would pay for the re-installation but told him I would never use their company again. He then said he wouldn't even do the re-install for any price because he didn't want to deal with it and that they are too busy. So basically, I now have $3000 worth of signage I ordered from them and now have no way to get it re-hung because they refuse to even re-hang it if we pay. They created signs for us that they hung originally and it will be hard to find another sign company to re-hang another company's signage. Low quality work and bad customer service where they don't stand behind and admit a mistake (employee used the wrong adhesive or not enough to hang the signs in the first place).

Luis, I am sorry you were not happy with your project. We take our customer satisfaction very seriously at Chicago Signs and Screens. Hence why when I saw this (only our 2nd non-5-star review in almost 5 years). I personally looked into if/where our process went wrong here that justified such an action. After checking with all people involved in this project, our process seemed to have been followed in full. The facts are: 1) You called our shop wanting these printed for a next day pick up. As a new client we waived rush fees even though the order was for a small amount. 2) YOU provided US with the artwork, so to be clear the fact that there was a lot of wording on one side of the print was an issue with the artwork not our printing. IE, we only print what we are given. I checked to make sure that WE did not create this artwork and confirmed that it was provided to us by you. 3) As per our process, we provided you with a quote including a mockup of what the print will look like. And per our procedure, YOU APPROVED that mockup and paid the invoice amount. This is the step that sends a project into production. Without approval of artwork and $$ on quote we do not go into production. 4) We then printed and had ready for you on your tight deadline. I was here when you picked them up, and I know you had said that the writing was small. Nothing more. If you were so disappointed that you were going to attack us online with this type of content, I wish you would have discussed with us first. Again. I am sorry you were not satisfied with the outcome; it was never our intention for you to be disappointed. In fact, the opposite. That said, in the future, I would perhaps reach out to businesses you have an issue with. Unless a business harmed you with intent, or refused to work with you to make things right, you should consider the effects of leaving such a review before writing one.

Unfortunately I was very unsatisfied with the Flyers. The font was too small for anyone to read and we could not use the Flyers. We had to print our own flyers on regular paper and pass them out in our class.

I just want to say that my experience working with Mike and Chicago Signs and screens was an awesome one! They printed up some T-shirts and hoodies for my business that looked great and exactly how I wanted them. They also did my business cards and did an incredible job. I happened to need the T-shirts in a rush, and Mike delivered them to me directly two days sooner than he needed too just to help me out. I highly recommend Chicago Signs and Screens!
