Location was very good but the room was gross. Tile floor in the bathroom/sink area was filthy, lube stains on the bedspread, lube handprints on the wall, dirty coffeemaker, uncomfortable beds and worn looking furniture. The room had a bad smell too.
We have stayed here many times. Its one of the only dog-friendly locations nearby, and by far the most affordable. Thats where all positive aspects end. Every room is consistently disgusting. We ended up just bringing our own vacuum just to cut down on the filth a little. However, on a number of occasions we have had gross surprises: pre-existing dog pee, used needles, bloody paper towels, full trash cans, pee-covered toilets, blood-covered sinks, etc I have no idea how this place passes any kind of state inspection. Again, if you need affordable and dog-friendly, I guess you could stay here. I would recommend cleaning the room first before letting Fido off leash though. I think Great Barrington would be smart in just bull dozing this place and putting up a La Quinta or something.
1) they screwed up my reservation so I didn't have my 3rd room on the last night I was there 2) there was a drug addict guest on the upstairs room who was very disruptive 3) my toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste) was thrown away by the cleaning crew
