Thanks for writing Dan, and we appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback. We attempted to connect with you after your scan, but we were unable to reach you. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected issue with our power source, the machine was receiving intermittent power and unable to complete a scan. While this is not a common issue, the resulting inconvenience is frustrating for our staff and clients. If and when this happens, we work diligently to communicate the issue and determine the best course of action to quickly and effectively resolve it. In the case of yesterday's event, our troubleshooting protocols did not afford us the result we were expecting, so we were forced to cancel the event and call in a third party service vendor for more technical support. In the event of an appointment cancellation by BodySpec, clients may choose between rescheduling their appointment (which we're happy to help with) or have a refund processed immediately. In your situation, from our records I see that we processed a refund immediately after we diagnosed the situation. However, it is not our policy to offer a free DXA scan credit (or any other store credit) in addition to refunding the original purchase. We hope you can understand and appreciate that BodySpec operates highly technical medical-grade equipment in a mobile environment, and occasionally, we do encounter issues. It is our job, then, to effectively and transparently communicate with clients so that we can hopefully minimize any inconveniences. Id recommend getting a Body Fat scale you can use at home, cheaper and you dont have to deal with the pain of setting up an appointment, traveling to the site and risking their machine crashing, then all they say is we can give you a refund. I went in for a scan and their machine froze 6 times after scanning only my head. The person operating the machine could only reboot her computer. This was a huge waste of time and customer service wasnt even willing to give me a free scan to compensate for my terrible experience. Customer service reached out and said its not in our policy to offer a free scan token and a refund, pretty poor response since a refund wont account for my wasted time commuting and sitting through 6 failed scans, then being asked to wait outside while they tried to fix it. Very disappointing they werent able to realize how frustrating it is to have your time wasted when you paid for their service and all they say is sorry its not in our policy to give a free scan.
