Hi, we are really sorry to read this and that you felt strongly enough to write it we obviously didnt do a good enough job at all on your order. Weve had a look at what went wrong and have implemented a few changes to try and avoid some of the issues. Just coming out of lockdown meant we were unusually busy without a full complement of staff and a couple of mistakes filtered through on the ordering. Some of the issues you raise are little niggles, but coupled with the negative experience you had made them seem like bigger faults ie a pack of tiles short and the adhesive was a just picking error. When the bigger issues arose such as the worktop we did our upmost to put it right. Our driver went to the far side of Manchester to get the correct worktop as the suppliers picked it incorrectly in the first instance. Rather than wait for the delivery, we sent our guy to get it ASAP. We fully accept we fell short with your order and do apologise for the poor experience youve had. I can assure you that with the staff back from furlough and changes weve made similar mistakes will be avoided and were back to our usual high levels of customer service. For what its worth, we genuinely like dealing with you and Ryan always cheered the place up.

Shocking customer service, ordered a full bathroom suite and a full kitchen. The bathroom mostly went ok except they didnt give us enough floor tiles (they did the bathroom plan so should of known the right amount) also sold is a tub of tile adeshive, got it home opened it and it was already used and had a quarter tub missing. The full high gloss kitchen.... I have no words about how truly shocking this service was. From them planning the kitchen to ordering to receiving goods has been truly horrific. Ended up missing a worktop, high gloss end panels for the cupboards (they told me the cupboards dont come with high gloss end panels) yet i ordered a high gloss kitchen!!! Plinths and kickboards sent short, had everything we ordered on our order form yet when we questioned the missing bits they proceeded to argue that we had not ordered things. Workers shouting at me down the phone but when i raised this issue with management they said oh he was just stressed... We all have stress in life but dont treat customers like that! The cupboards come built up but then the hinges and wall hangers and drawer mechanisms come seperate (these were all thrown into a cardboard box with no instructions) so it was a guessing game as to where it all went. Truly dissapointing because the 1 thing that is sad is that they do have really really nice furniture there but the service and amount of things they get wrong is not worth even going and spending your money. I will never ever step foot in this shop again.

Me and my husband travelled probably every single kitchen showroom in the whole of Bradford but must say modern living was the showroom that quoted us with the most reasonable price. Absolutely loved their customer service. They helped provide me with everything from my units to my cooker. They really broke down everything that I could get and what the prices were. I really loved how my kitchen has come out also appreciated the fact that I returned a sink I bought from them due to it being incompatible with the kitchen and they took it back no questions asked. I will definitely be spreading the word to friends and family couldnt thank everyone enough at modern living for their help.
Hi Terry, we were appalled to read this and tried to get to the bottom of the issue. Could you please get in touch and provide some details of who served you and what you bought as we have no record of anyone with your name. We hand write all our invoices and take customers names as standard and have absolutely nothing in the name of Terry Whitefield. Is it possible you have us confused with another company or perhaps are doing this maliciously as the review is not at all representative of how we operate.

This has got to be one of the worst places i've been to. I would recommend to avoid in every way possible. Its highly overpriced and the customer service is awful. When you order they will make you feel special and give you all the time in the world. As soon as you have paid a deposit its all downhill, they don't get back to you and make one excuse after another. Be aware that you may not get what you have ordered. Cheap product...would avoid and if i could have given 0 stars i would have.
