This was one of my last hopes for some really impressive food in Manchester. Very pleasant experience and simple food, but underwhelming really. One good dish that had me asking questions about what exactly made it so good (deffo get the tomato, spinach and cream sauce option), but nothing else intrigued me. My first time having burrata and I wouldn't order it again based on this experience, it was very plain tasting. The cocktails were nice, a focus on sake which is interesting although I couldn't quite figure out the connection with the continental cuisine. Would have liked to order wine, but it was beyond our budget.
Upsetti-spaghetti Disappointing service last night, booked a table and had to wait 30 minutes to get seated. Food was okay, small portions and a crowded eating area. The front of house greeter mentioned that it was so busy because of walk-ins from the arena, I would have thought you wouldn't let this impact reserved bookings. Especially as we had to pay a deposit to even get the table so we couldnt even walk out! No comps offered even though they sat us at the bar before hand whilst waiting for a table. Will not be returning.
