Started off great.......and then. I purchased a 2016 BMW 640i from Gravity Auto in November. I had a great experience from first contact to purchase. During the walk-around of the vehicle I noticed scraped paint on the bottom of the front bumper. I alerted the salesperson and he assured me that it would be taken care of. I explained I lived 4 hours away in Asheville North Carolina and wouldn't be able to come back until at least until after the new year. The salesperson showed me the carfax and said it had never been in an accident. I proceeded with the purchase and the dealer noted that they would address the front bumper. Shortly after the purchase I took the car in for an oil change and the dealer I asked me to come out to the service bay. They showed me that 3 of my 4 tires were coming apart and splitting. It wasn't apparent at the time of purchase because it was the inside sidewall of the tire. I then scheduled to have my tires replaced at Discount Tire. The service advisor told me my brakes had about 5% pad left and I would need them replaced. I was pretty floored, but understand I bought a used car and these are wearable items. So I then replaced the tiers and brakes all within a month of me purchasing the car. All went well from there, but then I noticed the paint on the front bumper was bubbling and peeling off. I keeped my eye on it and for months it just got worse. So I took it to the local body shop and they informed me the car had been in an accident and the front bumper was bondo'd and repainted (badly). I made a call and spoke with Alan the sales manager. At first he seemed unhelpful, until I explained the situation and he asked for pictures. He explained he couldn't make a decision on this but he would get with the GM as soon as he was back from vacation. I called 2 weeks later for an update and he said the GM was still on vacation. Okay..... 2 weeks after that I called and was told Alan was on vacation. Okay...... made multiple attempts thereafter leaving messages with not one returned phone call. I made one last attempt today and was told Alan was off. I asked to speak to the GM and the person I was speaking with said "he was with a customer ". I explained I would wait. At this point someone else got on the phone and told me the GM had gone home for the evening. I said "the person I was just speaking with said he was with a customer ". He informed me he was and left with him. He then said " the customer was high profile, you understand". NO I DON'T UNDERSTAND. I'm a pretty reasonable person, but this after sale experience has been utterly awful.
