Service is horrible, they can't process tenant payments.. Service is getting horrible. A couple months ago they returned a tenants rent payment to me that had been deposited for months with no problem because they had the same last name. This month another tenant's check was not deposited, I sent three emails asking if they had the check. Supplied them with amounts and check numbers and each time they assured me they didn't have the check. Gave the tenant a three day notice so they put stop pays on the checks and overnighted new ones. When they arrive Equity Trust then says they have had them all along. They say they emailed me on the 10th but due to technical issues can't give me a copy of the email or proof it was sent, but they have notes. In that period of time I traded a dozen emails with them. They refuse to reimburse any of the extra cost from the bad information they provided.

If I could give a 0 if I would. If I could give a 0 if I would. Bad instructions frmo account rep. on how to register online after account is set up. Then Verification process to register account for online access Username, Password, 3 Verified questions then a pin to access. Signup Verification email from Equity Fails, Rest password email fails. Comical at best. Going somewhere else.

Equity Trust provides a valuable…. Equity Trust provides a valuable service for those looking for a self-directed IRA investment option. I’ve just completed my first transaction with them and their staff have been outstanding: an actual human being acts as your knowledgeable advisor - not a phone tree where you’ll have to talk to a computer endlessly to get an automated answer to your questions. I went with Equity on the recommendation of my tax advisor, who has prior experience with them, and I’m glad I did.
