Karen I am so sorry for your experience yesterday at Theos. I have spoken to my general manager and I think there was just a miscommunication. We did have a baby shower that had reserved a table for 20 on the patio and our event space was also reserved. I think the hostess thought you wanted a table for 12 and even though we did not have a single table for 12 we could have sat yall at 3 tables that were close to each other. This is very personal to me - prior to acquiring Theos, I taught High School Calculus for 30 years - so I understand first hand the need to decompress after testing this time of year. I apologize that we did not handle the situation better and that we did not get to take care of you and your friends. This is a really good place to go, if they can accommodate you. 12 teachers trying to relax after testing were turned away, rudely, without any, Im sorry, nothing. We arrived at 3:40 because we had a large party, told the hostess we were 12 in need of a table/ area. She nodded like she understood and told us that they dont open until 4:00. We were aware of that and waited patiently outside. After watching several other people walk in, we went in at 3:55. This is when the hostess told us that the large patio area was already taken, and the other large area was reserved. I swear I heard crickets chirping as she just stared blankly at us. I finally asked if she would like me to walk around to look for a place to sit, technically they werent even open yet, and they were full?! She said she needed the manager. He was not polite at all, no apology, just pretty much told us to scram. We went to Grubs instead and had a great time, but really? Theos thinks they are too high class for a group of teachers, boo, hiss for them!
The wait was too long. Asked waitress what took so long then she explained there was a group order before us. Food was disappointing too. Fillet mignon was too dry. Not worth the price.
We had a birthday dinner @ Theo's in June. Fantastic food and service! We had the chef's tasting menu with wine and enjoyed immensely.... Preston is superb in his wine pairings, very knowledgeable and friendly. We'll be back again and again!!!
The worst restaurant I have ever been in the US. First of all, there was a hair in my water glass. Then, our order was brought late and was too salty where my mouth was burning after eating two bites of it. They said they will change the food for us, but we should choose something else and we need to eat it in 10 minutes. Very rude! They even did not accept their own mistake. They brought the second dish and it was not even hot. A nightmare! At the end, we paid in full for all the items and came out! Awful management. I would give them zero star if I could. Will never ever go back again.
