Valley Imports is the reason I will not own a Mercedes Benz in Fargo ever again. First, my vehicle was improperly evaluated after I brought it in for suspension errors on 12/16/21. I was told I had a leaking air bag in my back passenger side that needed to be replaced. I asked the service manager Angie, if it was still safe to drive. She said yes and I went on my way while I awaited an estimate and parts timeline. On 12/19/21 my entire suspension collapsed while I drove down the road with my children and dog. To say I was upset would be a total understatement. I paid for my vehicle to be towed to Valley. John the service manager told me it was not his team's fault as they had to "trust their team". Well as a customer and no mechanic background, so do I and this mistake could have been deadly. Because of the collapse and additional damage, my bill went from 3k to 7k. John was not willing to compromise for the additional part damage and got the price down to $3600, but not fully repaired--just drivable. Nevermind that I had to ask multiple times for the additional estimate information to be sent for review. There was a potential additional compressor for $1500 they couldn't say if it needed replacement or not. Sorry, but after the bills and additional damage it was too much to justify the worth of the vehicle and safety. I did not trust Valley to make proper assessments or repairs any longer. Jake the used sales manager sent me an email that he would be willing to buy my car for $18,500. I agreed and set a time to come to Valley on a Saturday morning. I showed up Valley only to be told that "btw the price was only good if I repaired the vehicle (not mentioned in the email or my phone conversation with Jake)" and no one was there to do the paperwork with me. I had to stop in 2 additional times for paperwork and a check. Valley did not take this collapse of my vehicle seriously as they should have because either their mechanics had no idea of the potential harm or did not know what they were doing and misdiagnosed, that is still up for debate. But after the Service Manager, John belittled me, accused me of "trying to get something out of this" and "blaming his team for this accident" was the last straw. He is demeaning to me as a woman and never spoke like this to my husband or father--whom he contacted directly to help initially but never me. I hope a qualified, service oriented and high-class import dealer comes to town that can handle the expectations of import drivers service experiences in the future--because Valley is not that.

Brought my car in to be diagnosed, I had an appointment at 1:00. I had not been to this particular place before so wasn't exactly sure where to go as there are separate entrances for each make of car they sell. I found the VW door and went inside, it took me a few minutes to find someone who then told me to go drive up to the service door which will open and I can just pull my car in. I did that and was not able to pull my car in as there were cars lined up in front of each door, 2 deep with quite a bit of space in front of them. I parked again and walked in, I did eventually figure out where to go to talk to someone and get my car dropped off .The courtesy driver was friendly and timely which was good. Repairs were explained and options offered to me prior to leaving.
We are trying to figure out how we dropped the ball on your repair. Would you mind sharing with us what your final bill ended up being? At this point, we do know that our advisor should not have diagnosed your vehicle over the phone and when looking up parts and labor information, he wasn't using the most current updates, but we want to make sure that we handled the mistakes professionally and did the right thing in the end....thank you.

Recently brought my Mercedes Van in to clear a Check Engine light and perform the "B" service. When I made the appointment the estimate was $800 for the "B" service (basically a glorified oil change) and $1,200 to repair the part causing the CEL - I confirmed the estimate when I made the appointment. I confirmed the estimate via email. I confirmed the estimate two weeks later when I dropped the van off at 8:00AM. Then at 10:30AM I received a call that the estimate was now $1,000 more ($3,000 total instead of $2,000). Horrible example of bate and switch. Its really unethical to tack on $1,000 that late in the process. I asked for good-will which was denied. After many phone calls and much frustration we compromised and landed in the middle. Horrible experience overall.
