Absolutely talented artists at this studio, but I had a really bad experience and got ghosted by one of the artists while trying to book. I initially tried to book with Trevor through his website last year in March when his bookings were open, but didn't get a response. I sent an email a few months later after he had reopened his books and he asked for my concept again so I could get booked for January. I described my concept (which was a floral, as he usually does) and recieved no response. I followed up via email three more times (all weeks/months apart) and never got a reply. I called the store and was told by the front desk that my name was given to him and I should expect a response. That was in January and I was never followed up with. If an artist is not interested in my concept, I wish they would just tell me, rather than outright ingoring me for months. Super unfortunate!

I absolutely love The East. Sammy has done two of my tattoos, one being a large thigh piece and the other a coverup on my foot and toe. They were both very rough sits for me and she was so kind and accommodating for both. Knowing that Im going to work with someone like Sammy really eases my anxiety before the tattoo. I feel safe knowing that I can tell her that I need a break and an extra spray of Bactine. Or even a Coke or Ring Pop. Her art style is colorful and funky. A must for cutie tattoo lovers. The conversation is easy and fun with her. Shes an absolute angel and ink wizard! 12/10.
