We have the lowest prices on live edge slabs in NYC. The slabs are air dried for 6 months, expertly kilned and then sanded. Since is sounds like you are not from NYC - you may be surprised to know that NYC is a more costly than Seattle to rent commercial space so our prices are higher. Sorry if our initial response was a little heated but your review was both inaccurate and insulting for non-profit staff that work hard to keep material out of the landfill. Most of our donations come directly from home owners, movie sets, or businesses - certainly not from abandoned homes. Our work keeps over 1 million lbs of reusable materials out of the landfill every year and supports environmental work through out the city in composting and environmental education.

Furniture in there looks like its salvaged from abandoned or foreclosed houses and mostly broken. Prices are a bit high for broken outdated furniture. Mostly junk dont waste your time This is in comparison to a reuse store in Seattle that had much nicer items for the same price. For example I bought a live edge cedar round 4 ft diameter solid for $50 in Seattle, and a thin slab is being sold at big reuse for $75+ In response below, looks like some people are your typical angry New Yorkers. Junk is junk

Thanks for visiting again. I am glad you found most of our staff helpful. All the Queens staff moved to the Brooklyn location. Unfortunately with our rent doubling we had to close our Queens location. Higher rent has also forced us to diversify our materials in order to stay open. We will continue to add more reclaimed lumber. We still hundreds of doors though!

Good but limited variety of items. More like a thrift store. Not enough salvaged or reclaimed wood. Astoria location is reportedly closed but they had a better selection of planks, doors and salvaged demolition items with more personable employees. One guy here needs to be fired, the rest of the staff were helpful and pleasant.
