I have been waiting on refund for a month now, they say free consult and then charged 400 and im now told it will take 30 to 45 days, i need to file bankruptcy because i have no money and then they take forever to refund so I cant even pay my bills. BS. I am filing complaint with BBB and attorney General as well.

SCAM-BEWARE-My experience with Upright was awful. I spoke to them one time to sign on with them & start making monthly payments. Spoke with my assigned lawyer maybe 2 times? Covid hit & bankruptcy was put on back burner so NEVER did I turn in documents, have court dates, file for ANYTHING, nothing ever done except initial few phone calls. I did keep making monthly payments. When I decided that i no longer wanted to move forward w BK bc i moved states, I contacted them for a refund in june & no one reached out about it until november. I paid about $1800 total yet I only get a refund of $281. Sent me a ledger I do NOT understand anything on it about where my money went. I don't get it bc NOTHING WAS DONE. I feel a bit ripped off here & I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Oh & its been two months since I was supposed to receive my "refund" check. UPDATE: shouldve read reviews before using Upright, bc a lot of people have the same issues- want to cancel? they keep your money. Due a refund? how about never getting it. I am calling State Attorney like someone else said they were doing!! I want my $1800 in full!!!!!

The attorney I was assigned was horrible, and still is. My case still does not have a closing date and this has been well over one calendar year. Only way to contact him is via email and he barely responds, never returns voicemails. I wish I wouldve explored more options before selecting this company.
