So about 5 months ago I bought a car from these people. The gauge cluster didnt work, the hood had rust on it, the car squeaked when you turned the wheel, the drivers mirror was hanging off, and the interior trim was peeling off. I pointed all of these things out to see if they would fix them for me. Im a mechanic myself so I know how this used car business works. They agreed to fix the hood and the gauge cluster and the interior trim but they didnt want to fix the gauge cluster the right way they wanted to do it the cheap way that will get me by for a couple months which was sending it to some place in Tennessee for 2 weeks to get rebuilt which had a very low success rate. With the squeaking I told them it was a ball joint to test how much they were ripping me off when I knew it was a bushing in the steering column, the day before I went to pick up the car I asked about it and they said it was a ball joint and they fixed it, Im from Massachusetts and also a state inspector and the ball joints need to be good in order to pass inspection which is the only reason why they fixed this. When I picked up the car the gauge cluster still didnt work because we came up with a deal that they would give me some money so I can fix it on my own which was bring it to a dealer to replace it with a factory cluster so thats about the only plus on their side. As I was driving the car off the lot the squeaking happened as I was passing the sales guy who sold me the car, all the car needed was some scillicone grease and there wasnt actually a problem with the balljoint, the hood was fine then but they were so cheap with repainting the hood that the spot that had rust the paint faded off and now the cheap clear coat is peeling off 5 months later and my hood looks terrible. So 5 months later my hood looks terrible from the peeling, my mirror is still hanging off, and the interior trim is starting to peel again. I didnt realize this is what happens to a car you spend $12k on in 5 months of owning it with all of the work they said they would do for me. Unless youre trying to get ripped off dont trust these people with their smiles and nice attitudes because theyre most likely lying through their teeth like any used car salesman
There is no dealership better than Second Street Auto Sales in Manchester New Hampshire. Matt and Mike are tops!! Attention to detail is a must for them. Honesty is second nature to them! Very good negotiations and now I have a great vehicle. Matt even sewed a small tear in my seat before I picked up my truck. I would def go back here again....and I'm from LONG ISLAND!!! Thanks again. Buy from these guys! You won't be disappointed.
At first I was impressed with this place. I was promised a new key because the one that came with the car didn't work. Matt hasn't responded to any of my messages about when I will be getting the key he said would be ready when I picked up my car over a month ago. I will never go back or recommend this place because you should be treated right even after you purchase a vechile because you would want them to keep coming back.
