Middle of June 2021 and this is the only place in all of the OBX thats mandating masks. The CDC ending this mandate months ago, this is ridiculous! I walked in here to spend at least $3,500 on a whole kite boarding set up until they made me wear a mask just to be in the store. I guess there was no need to ever get vaccinated if we are still going to communist China. Never coming back here again.

Sorry to say, my experience wasnt so great. Tried to talk to an employee inside about getting a harness, but couldnt even get the guy to look me in the eye as opposed to actually help me out on deciding on one. Ended up buying a $250 harness based on his suggestion that was quickly formed, went out and tried it, but it didnt fit. Came back to return but met a disagreeable employee outside that said they would only take it back new. I wouldnt even know how to properly test a harness without getting in the water and under a kite.

Lost Party Crasher surfboardI live in Southern California and distribution on this specific board has been rough. Between visits to shops in Seal Beach, Bolsa Chica Beach, Huntington Beach and Newport Beach I gave up the search locally. I got online a discovered it wasnt any easier. That is until I came across Real WaterSports. I had one shot at the board from what I could see online. I made one phone call based off what I was seeing online and was given some great advice for my riding style for board size. A few days later I had a couple more questions I sent through email and received quick replies from Travis. Simply amazing customer service on his part. Given I live in Southern California I was very concerned about how well this board would be packed and shipped since I had a complete disaster years ago shipping a board to Hawaii. I went ahead with the order. I also bought accessories ended for board as the had a promotion running if you buy a board. So began the updates on my order and every step of the way I knew where the shipment was. Today my order arrived. RWS really took the time to pack this shipment as the board was packed extremely well! As was the 2nd box with my travel board bag. Not one thing went wrong from beginning to end with this order. Travis did a great job and whomever was behind the scenes making this customer feel valued.thank you!

I took the two hour beginner surf lesson with Jeff, who I highly recommend. The two hours lesson felt like a three hour lesson with all that we were able to get done and Jeff was just as excited as I was each time that I made progress. Jeff took the approach of starting simple (e.g. identifying where to surf, positioning on the board, getting to a standing position) on the shore and then working me up to eventually catching my own small (1-2ft) waves. Jeff did a great job of knowing when to both dial it up and dial it back and even helped me try to catch a couple slightly larger (2-3ft) waves. I particularly appreciated that he gave me something to focus/improve on each time that I attempted to catch a wave. He then finished the lesson with a conversation about next steps for my progression and like that, I felt prepared to continue learning myself. A well deserved five stars.

I was told because I had a 7 month old baby, who can not wear a mask or he would die from carbon dioxide poisoning, that I can not come in. Dont worry about it I will NEVER come here again. The law states anyone 11 and under is not required to wear a mask in North Carolina. You are pushing people away when companies are going out of business because they cant get people to buy from them? Wow...
