Hi Ellora, thanks for stopping in! Unfortunately, we were unable to complete your mounting request. Upon removal of your old bindings, we discovered the existing hole locations prevented the new bindings from being safely mounted. We remounted your old bindings and adjusted them for your new boots, ensuring you could ski safely. We also immediately refunded the mounting fee in lieu of a small labor charge for the unmounting, remounting, adjusting, and testing work. When the small fee did not meet your expectations, we also refunded that, immediately. Were sorry your skis could not be remounted with your new bindings and wish you luck finding a setup that will work for you this season!

Don't let them charge you up front. My experience was they were unable to do the mount, then didn't give a full refund after saying they would. When I asked why, Eric was extremely rude. (To be fair, he didn't seem to realize I wasn't on hold). Multiple staff members were disorganized and the entire process was unpleasant. Trust me, compared to this customer service, REI would have been a far better experience.
Skimo is such an incredible store if you're looking for brand new backcountry gear. They obviously have high prices but because they only sell high quality products that will last you a long time. They do have some sales and offer gear from previous seasons. The employees are knowledgeable, kind, and go out of their way to help you.
The fact that I am the 50th reviewer and nearly everyone has given five stars really tells you all you need to know! I have had nothing but good experiences with this shop and the experts who work there. They are not elitist, they are super helpful and they are the authority on skimo questions and issues. They are part of the community and sponsor races and always happy to chat and share information. I can't think of one thing that I would change for this shop. I love shopping here and look forward to many purchases in the future!! These guys are the gold standard.
Shop is cool, some of the employees are obviously not as experienced with the gear as others. If you want real advice about something, or to speak to someone with real "skimo" experience you'll likely have to turn down a couple offers from employees eager to help.
