Friendly staff who was very helpful. Ordered half and half order of regular fried/garlic bone in. Order is huge! More than enough to feed 4 people. It's essentially pieces of chicken chopped into pieces. Comes with fries automatically. Garlic was good. Regular fried has some good flavor too.
Two absolute standout dishes: 1. The squid ink pasta with black truffle shaving 2. The porridge with uni and abalone in this delectable foam #2 is the “chefs specialty” as we learned after we ordered it. It’s a $35 add on—but worth every cent. The tasting menu says 5 course but we kept getting extra dishes in between. Ended up being a 10 course meal. For $125 that’s a steal. Opted for the wine pairing as well which was good for exposure but I think I had a few diff pairings in mind. Give it a go—you’ll love it.
They gave us so many extra courses. The French waiter was pro at what he did. We sat at the counter. Meet Joseph the chef and had a really good experience. I’m a big fan. Drank a bottle of sake. Matched nice with the food.
I visited with family back in August of 2019. The food, the staff, and the wine pairing were all so so so amazing! Especially big thank to the well informed staff. The flavors of the various dishes were great and unique in their own way. The different wines paired amazingly with the dishes and could hold their own just as great. The big reason for not giving 5 stars related to the large wait time between plates. 15-20 minutes between each plate is way too long in my book. It took us a total of 3 hours from start to finish for the tasting menu. The timing very much ruined my family's experience dining here. Hopefully, the restaurant has improved their timing as I'd love to try out the amazing menu again.
