If you are considering this company to do any renovation/restoration work or if you are considering renting one of their properties PLEASE read this short story before hand! I found a rental property on Craigslist that Brian Robin had posted. I responded and told them I was looking for a house in Savannah. In November of 2013 we finished up all the paper work. I was scheduled to move from out of state on Jan. 31st 2014. "Not a problem," their secretary Camille told me, "we will be able to finish everything and you'll love your new place!" I thought everything was well and good. They cashed my security deposit the first week of December 2013 and that should have been the first red flag. But I put my trust in this company anyway, which turned out to be a huge mistake. Two weeks before I was scheduled to move Brian called me with an issue; all the copper wiring had been ripped out of the house I was supposed to move into. Brian assured me that he had another property that would fit me nicely that they just needed to do a few things to fix it up. "You'll like the neighborhood a lot better and I just need to fix up a few things. I can have my guys knock it out for you in the next two weeks," Brian promised me. By this point I was getting nervous. They already had my money and I was left with two weeks until I was planned to move from four states away. But again, Brian promised it would work out. I drove to Savannah according to schedule. While I was on my way, Brian's secretary Camille informs me I have to setup the electricity in my name so they can finish the floors. I thought they only had to do a bathroom? "Okay, not a problem." I said and I went to set everything up while driving and managing my pets. By the time I got to Savannah I hadn't heard from ANYONE at the office and I had no idea where I was supposed to go. After texting Brian 6 times, he finally called and told me the place wasn't going to be ready for two more days but I could stay in an apartment above his office. He informed me where the keys were and I was okay to let myself in. When I stepped into the apartment I was shocked by the quality of the place. Exposed wiring from the floor, no hot water, broken lights, broken alarm system. I had had it. I started looking for other places as soon as I could. Four days went by before I met ANYONE from his office and when I did it wasn't even Brian. I found another place and told Brian I wanted my security deposit back. This was first time I met the man and he was the most unprofessional man I've met in my life. He yelled and cursed at me while I waited for a check. He also called me derogatory names and screamed in my face. It was a horrible experience and I hope this will spare you.
Not impressed. They did insurance repair work on my home and so far the roof is fine but the interior work leaves a lot to be desired. I contacted the owner several times to get him out to see what I was talking about and he never would come out. Not recommended.
Having had poor luck with previous contractors on small projects at my house, I felt overwhelmed when I had to deal with an upstairs leaking shower that caused my kitchen ceiling to crash and destroy some of the cabinets from water damage. I was advised to check out Robin Restoration and was put in touch with Ryan Washburn, project manager. He is a very knowledgeable, personable and professional contractor. He came over to my house where he surveyed the damage and then came up with several cabinet options for a plan to renovate my kitchen. He even suggested during the renovation, to center my kitchen sink under my window as it off center. He has an excellent team of carpenters, countertop installer, electrician and painters. He did all the coordination and scheduling of the contractors and each of them did a great job. Steve, who is an excellent all-around handyman also installed new lighting system in my kitchen. He did such a great job that I had him put new lighting in the hallway of my house. Although I would hate to go through another home damage scenario again, I would not hesitate to call Robin Restoration. Im extremely pleased and grateful for their workmanship and professionalism and that I am a happy and the satisfied customer with the finished project.
We have had nothing but positive experiences renting from Robins. They respond to issues within a day if not immediately. The office staff is kind and helpful (thanks Kim!) The maintenance man Steve is a really nice guy who can fix anything and shows up when he says he will. We y'all
