What a nightmare. I use Xoom very infrequently. I have changed addresses and accountants twice recently after we sold our building and moved to a different city and I updated my PayPal account accordingly. This week I tried to send an overseas payment and Xoom is asking for the address the account was registered under. Who remembers? I can tell them all of my past addresses but they make it a guessing game. Who would think that updating the address on PayPal won't update the address on Xoom????
I have been sending money to my country, and never had any problem, always on time without have worries about it. I trust in XOOM and is my # 1 app to send money and received too.
Saw this on PayPal so I thought I'd give it a try. I paid an extra fee to deposit to a debit card which said it would be there in 32 minutes. By the next morning it still wasn't there, Xoom canceled the transaction without giving a reason. I emailed them and they said they removed the restrictions on my account. Okay, maybe its because I was a first time user. I let it go. A week later, I tried it out again (on a Saturday at 12pm PST). This time, they emailed me at 5:03pm (they closed at 5pm) that same day saying I need to reply to the email to verify the transaction. I replied to their verification department 4x throughout the next 3 days and not a single response. After no response by 4pm Monday, I contacted customer service and they said I need to continue to contact the verification department. I emailed verification twice more. The money was supposed to reach the recipient Sat afternoon. Now it is Tue morning, no response so I have canceled the transaction myself and WILL NEVER use a company that doesn't even respond.
