I hadn't been on a climb in about 20 years, but I went on a climbing trip with Nate and I felt totally confident and comfortable the whole time. After a short review of climbing technique I was back up the side of a mountain - that's me in the photo. Nate's teaching technique (and patience!) are outstanding. He is extremely knowledgeable and highly talented both as a climber and as an instructor. I completely recommend Nate and Ascent Climbing if you want to give it your first shot, or if you have climbed before and you want to get back out there again.

Amazing! My first climbing experience outside was ice climbing with Nate. He made the time awesome. His way of instructing was easy going and super informative. i was able to understand and grasp the techniques making the day very enjoyable. He was great to talk to and knew what he was doing. Beyond having a fun time he made sure everyone was safe the entire day. I will be going back out with him to do the anchors course in the spring and look forward to it. If you are planing to find a way into rock/ice climbing Nate at Ascent climbing should be your first stop.

Spent a day with Nate as my guide ice climbing (first timer). I traveled almost 3 hours and it was worth every second of the commute! Nate is great! Extremely knowledgeable and professional, and I really enjoyed myself and felt very comfortable. Looking forward to getting back out there.
