If you want proper traditional English fish and chips this is a great place. Have been going there since I was a kid and they used to do 50p chip cone. Can barely afford 3 wings and chips nowadays but still very nice. Miss the lady who owned this place, she was the only who could salt and vinegar it perfectly. RIP
This for years was one of the best fish and chip shops. Now it's restaurant is closed with a scribbled message of explanation. The atmosphere is very unwelcoming and hygiene has a lot to be desired with dirty work surfaces and the cook handling raw foods, salads and bread with his bare hands resulting in cross contamination. I will not be returning after being a customer for over 30 years.
