Sorry for the confusion. We do not allow children in the yurts or geodomes due to the potential noise and nature of the units. We did not charge any fee for you to cancel once we realized you were bringing a young child. We hope you get the chance to try us again sometime and would be happy to help you choose a kid friendly accommodation. We have several and love seeing little ones enjoy the property too!

It is not a kid friendly because they do not accept children in the yurt. Its a 35 dollar fee if you or them cancel your reservation. Not a relaxing experience.

The room was nice and clean. There were little extras included that were nice as well. The food was okay, not amazing. The included breakfast was good though. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. It was impossible to sleep. If we hadn't had activities planned for the morning we absolutely would have just made the drive home in the middle of the night. It was terrible. Staff were generally indifferent throughout our planning process and actual stay. I had been looking forward to our stay for weeks and while there were some positives, overall it was a disappointing experience that I would not repeat.

The restaurant was a beautiful experience not to mention the very good food and good people. The area is also very pleasing to the eyes and very calming. Overall a wonderful site to see even if you just come here for their amazing breakfast!

Hi Leslie! So sorry you had this poor experience. We have been in the process of changing phone services for some time now and have limited options given our remote location. It has definitely caused some some issues. Brittani has not been with us for some time now and we do not currently have a dedicated group advisor. All our staff is trained to be of assistance and I am happy to hear once you got to the right place, you received a timely response. My staff and I had the oddest experience with the Inn at Cedar Falls. I facilitate corporate events and private retreats. My project coordinator did an inquiry and gave the Inn a 3 month window. We received no response for almost a week. We left messages with Group Events on the voicemail of Brittney Hahn. I followed up with an email and a woman named Liberty replied within minutes and told us that no one named Brittany Hahn worked at the Inn. I took a screenshot of the number we had been calling, asked to speak to a manager as I found it all so odd and she replied with an email telling us that she knows its very confusing because they have so many options and good luck finding a location for our retreat. She didnt address my request to speak to a manager nor did she comment on my finding it strange that someone named Brittany responds to the group event voicemail yet she tells me no one named Brittany works there. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this into any other clients of mine as something like this has never happened in my 20 years of doing this work.
