Decent park and one of the nicest ones in this general area. Generally crowded and a weird mix of groups of people meandering, dog walkers and trail runners. This is a great place to take the kids on a stroll but not such a great place to come to exercise unless you are going at way off peak hours. The trails themselves can be a little challenging with some nice hills to get your heart rate up. Parking lot is safe and busy, I wouldn't think twice about parking here (unlike some other parks which seem like low hanging fruit for car break-ins). Parking is ample and trails get muddy after rain. Porta-pot on site is usually clean and handicap accessible.
Sweet Arrow is one of my favorite places to hike with kids, as well as trail run because of the diversity it provides. You can choose a short, manageable hike for kids or trail jump and log some miles that consist of sun-filled prairie and wooded hilly paths.
