I don't write poor reviews for 98% of the bad experiences I've encountered in my life... Unless you've managed to be in the top 2%. Don't get me wrong, this store has many beautiful pieces, and some are quality and but some are just poorly made that can't withhold the test of time (and unless you are a furniture expert, you won't know you are getting jipped because the sales people there won't tell you the truth, they claim everything is in high quality...) To make matters worse, what made me write this review is how poor the customer service and post sale service I received. The people at the headquarter were not helpful, they push around the issue to other departments and there is a lack of educated sellers or customer representatives that resulted in big promises but big disappointments as well. My specific issue with them was a couch I bought from them almost 3 year ago. Since I was scared to get my new white couch dirty, the first year I basically sit on the couch with a couch cover on top (my first mistake). After about a year I felt a need to not be so protective with the couch cover and decided to use it like I am supposed to. Little did I know, in about 3 months, I started seeing little cracks and rips here and there. I contacted the person who sold me the couch several times to no response so I secretly hoped it wouldn't get worse. (Note: I don't own a pet, rarely have parties or guests at my place and I can count how many times I sit on this couch because like many New Yorkers.. I am busy running around) I was told at the point of sale about how durable this couch is, and that it is made of a durable (not) eco friendly "vegan leather" (my other mistake to believe...). In less than two years of owning this couch, I've learned that vegan leather can never be durable, because the material doesn't give and there are parts of the couch I have never touched before that starts to flake on is own. A little over 2 years later, this vegan leather is leaving white flakes and marks on my floor and clothes like a snow globe. At which point I could no longer tolerate (I feel like this shouldn't be happening to me considering how much I paid for this couch in such a short time) so I contacted Tui again and thats when my downward spiral customer service journey began. All I can say is, use your best judgement, be a smart customer, and if you are not a product expert and made the wrong decisions based on trust, in this case.... What you don't know will come back to hurt you. You will not only be wasting your time, but money and energy. I've clearly paid a big "tuition" for this one.
