Sorry our Normal business hours are from 9am -5pm. We frequently have visitors come in the shop from the bus station across the street. Our doors were unlocked but the closed sign was clearly visible. We use this time to set our store for the day and clean.

I am an old windsurf fanatic looking to start kiting and I went to look for some kite gear. I was stoked it was open when I was down at the Greyhound Bus Line....Door was open so I went in to buy a wheel for my land board and purchase a board to replace an old pickle fork I had when I first started. I was quickly met at the front not by a good morning, but a mean woman saying I had to leave and that, "This is not a hang out!".... Wow...I don't look like a street bum....I don't act like a street bum. The windsurf crowd of the 90s were professional, friendly, helpful people... what a bad experience. The owner was cool the first time I met him....but that wasn't very windsurfer....I guess kitesurfers are a different breed.

I have purchased from kiteboarding.com for quite some time. I have dealt mostly with Robin and Joey for any concerns and I have always had the highest level of customer care. I recently purchased a Mystic Stealth surf bar which works great but I tried to tighten the line up and one of the rear set screws spun off as it may have been cross threaded. I contacted Joey and within a couple days I had a brand-new bar in the mail. Again the Stealth bar is fantastic to use and I can't speak more highly of the customer care that I have received purchasing from kite boarding.com. Thanks again. Jim sobiek. Had a problem with another product and as usual the customer service at kiteboarding.com is just the best. I won't shop anywhere else everybody is super super helpful including Robin and Joey. I've lived/kited in the Outer Banks and now Corpus. This shop and it's employees are second to none! The team is not there to up-sell you and they always provide honest feedback and recommendations even if it means they don't make a $. They should be everybody's first call for gear/info or lessons if local!

I have been calling since September trying to get into this sport to get intro training. The first time I called, it was call back in like six weeks trainer broke his arm etc.. Totally understand people get hurt.. I have called back ~8 more times they are either to busy to schedule a time or take my number and never return a call. I have tried using their website and sending an e-mail to schedule and nothing. It is unfortunate as the first guy I talked to really walked me through so much stuff the first call but since then nothing. I suggest you stay away if you are trying to get into to the sport.
