Hi Ben, I don't want to make excuses but share in the disappointment. I agree we are challenged to be fully organized and communicate as well as we would prefer. On a typical average weekend, we service approximately 40 people not hundreds like have been coming recently resulting in long lines and wait times. Being one of only few. maybe even the only facilities open during the pandemic is driving high volumes. Plus covid-19 restrictions are limiting the number of watercraft we are allow to utilize. That combined with the loss of most of our staff is very challenging. We have tried online booking and reservation in the past, but it did not workout. People come late resulting in late returns which causes those who next (even though they came on time ) to wait. This compounds it self throughout the day making it more and more unmanageable. Not to mention many when they arrive want something different they what they booked. Quite frankly we are questioning if operating in these condition is worth the damage it is doing to our reputation. We can only hope that the pandemic that is threatening the very existence of small businesses such as ours does not continue much longer and that our customers will be understanding, patient, helpful, and supportive during these times. Thank you for your feedback.

Good prices, but poor experience on a weekend. The line of 20 people can take an hour to get through, and then you are limited by what they have available. I think they would greatly benefit from an online pre-paid reservation system. All that being said, staff was very friendly and we had a good time once we got out on the water (rented stand up paddleboards).
We appreciate your feedback and regret you did not have the enjoyable experience you were seeking. Sadly at some times crowds can create short-term demand that results in unexpected backups. We will have the Pedal boat inspected to see if the steering requires adjustment. Also the other associates you observed were not part of the rental team. These individuals are instructors either waiting on student arrivals are taking a break between classes. Again thank you for your feedback. Sharing you experience helps up work to make things better for everyone. Thank you.

Did a mistake - showed up there with kids. There was a long line and only one associate working. Two more associates were sitting in a shade. Finally got a pedal boat, loaded the family and tried to enjoy. The freaking steering handle didn't work! (We've rented same pedal boats from different places, so I can compare). I really hope their manager sees this review, because it's a mess there. Update: Re: Response from the owner. Thank you for taking care of that! Changed the review to 3 stars.
Very reasonable price and I do not have any issues with cash paying method. Very nice owners. I know how to kayak and would like to try SUP, they are patient enough to show me some basic skills of SUP.
Hi Oleg, Thank you for your great feedback. You have summarized our location very well. Several years ago after the construction of many of the surrounding buildings reduced the strong winds we were used to at the lagoon we made a business decision to refocus our school and rentals activities around beginners. The lack of small more advanced boards and the harness is by design. Since our focus is on newbies, we use our limited space to inventory beginner equipment. We also do not provide the harness to reduce damage to our equipment damage. As a skilled windsurfer you likely already know that most sail damage and beginner injuries is due to a sailor falling on or through the sail as the result of being unable to detach themselves from the harness. If you new to the area and your looking for a place to sail that rents more advanced gear you might want to visit the 3rd Avenue waterfront site here in Foster City as well. This location is for the intermediate to advanced windsurfer and also provides a variety of other activities such as kiting, Thanks again for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Suitable for newbies only. The area is so small, if you get planing, you only have a few seconds before you reach the opposite shore. No bay access. The equipment looks old. No small boards, not even in the 110 liter range. Not a single harness. If you're a beginner, it's a decent safe place.
