Allow me to state everything I say in this review is just the truth and nothing but the truth. If your a kid that has barely any behavioral issues, you might say this school was fine and painless. If you're like me and got sent there for their ADHD, BP, ODD, and etc. This school was your hell on Earth. Let me tell you that through the three years I was there, the motto was "This school will prepare you for highschool". This is the worst lie I've ever heard in my entire life. This school is like a police state, not a highschool. First off, you only got once choice for breakfast and lunch (if you didn't bring your own) which can and will leave some students to go hungry is they hate/can't eat that food. Second, you were not allowed to give GIFTS to fellow students, or ever TOUCH them! My friend got an office referral for hugging me (WITH MY CONSENT), and me and by boyfriend at the school both got office referrals for holding hands in hopes of him winning a bike at an assembly. Gifts to your friends had to be given IN SECRET like you were drug dealing. Once, my friend tried to give me two Pokemon cards, a Lucario and a Dialga which I really wanted, and someone in the office came and TOOK THOSE CARDS for the REST OF THE YEAR. I did eventually get them, on the last day of school when we actually succeeded on giving them to each other. Third, this school has an extremely strict clothes ruling. On Halloween, my friend got to dress as Slenderman, where he got to wear the bodysuit (without the head mask) and the suit, but MY Halloween costume (which was a tan suit and a brown jacket) they made me take almost all the way off. This is some double standards right there. Not to mention, you could see my nipples under that undershirt that they forced me to wear only. Forth, I once made a blog detailing my daily life in this school with another student, so we could remember what happened in case we ever needed to write reviews like this. The Principal made us delete the blog and lectured us on "Cyberbullying", even though what we were doing was not cyberbullying at all. Fifth, we were almost flat out told to NOT MAKE FRIENDS. Since the school took in kids from almost everywhere in Oregon, we had a lot of kids from different districts. We were basically told to not enjoy your friends here because once you/they graduate, you will never see them again. Sixth, and my personal favorite... I am okay with admitting that I have suicidal thoughts. Once, I had a bad moment with these, and hid myself in the bathroom. I was in plain sight, and nobody had found me for two hours. This pretty much screams that they don't give a single care about their students, but there's more. I was texting my friend who was trying to talk me down. Once they did find me, they were trying to take away my phone. THE ONLY THING THAT WAS KEEPING ME FROM KILLING MYSELF. I explained this to them. They didn't care. Luckily they can't actually legal take it from you without consent, so I just sat outside. They said this wasn't "level three behavior", a literal guilt trip to get me to follow orders. Speaking of which, I started my level three paperwork one year, got it all done and everything? They didn't accept it until almost the end of the NEXT YEAR. They waited a YEAR to accept my paperwork. Seventh, one of the office workers agreed when I said this school practically beat kids into submission. Does that sound like a caring school to YOU? To sum this up? Parents, if you're having issues with your kids whom have mental illnesses, PLEASE DO NOT SEND THEM HERE! This school will likely only make them worse. All I learned from this school was how to be quick-witted, sneaky, and underhanded. Do you really want your kid to learn these things to just deal with their school's community? I'd like to apologize to all the kids that got sent here because of their mental illnesses. You deserved better.
