None of our food for sale is rotting. Ever. Very few if any items are dated 02-2020.

Good deals but it would be sensational if items with a best buy date of 02-2020 were marked down further. Would it be better to sell them for something rather then let the food rot? Something is better then nothing. Plus they would have room for more products. Just because it's legal to sell an item past the best by date doesn't make it right.
Regina.....three things... 1. We are Dallas' only licensed Salvage Grocery Store. We have a license that allows us to buy and sell close-dated and or out of date food products. That does not mean that if you see an out of date product that its bad. Quite the opposite, its actually fine and that's why its deeply discounted. Additionally, we have lots of in-date product as well. Selling out of date or close dated product is who we are and what we do. I'm sorry if you did not know that...most people are aware that we are a salvage grocery store. If you visit our website at groceryclearancecenter.com you will see many links to food dating and what it all means. Also, remember that we have been in business, in Dallas, same owners, since 1993. So, if expired food was a bad thing we would of been long gone already. 2. As to the air....our air went out that day....naturally we have air...hate when it happens...but its equipment and sometimes it breaks. We try to always get it fixed as quickly as possible. 3. And finally, the majority of our stars are 4 and 5 stars...we don't get those by mistake...we work our butts off for them. Hope you'll give us another chance.

My first time here. A lot of the stuff in there is expired. And theyre still selling it. I wouldnt have even given this place even one gold star . And the store is very hot inside. Its like the AC doesnt work.
Saddened to discover that the store is currently closed until further notice. I was looking forward to getting some affordable fresh produce what with food prices going up. I truly hope they are able to reopen soon. So many community members depend on this place.
Your receipt doesn't tell you what you have purchased and I was overcharged. I suggest everyone keep track of what you've purchased, because the cashiers are just putting any kind of amount when checking you out. The mangos were supposed to be 4 for $1.00 and they charged me $1.00 for each freaking mango.
