Great radio: beautiful design and impressive acoustics - once fixed. It however arrived with a broken screen, and had to be returned to their sales agent in Germany. The repair took several weeks and a mistake in completing the shipping paperwork meant that I paid VAT/duty twice. My emails to their agent in Germany on this have remained unanswered.
Bought a refurbished Revo Super CD, firstly the Bluetooth function didn't work so it got sent back, then there was a miscommunication in the factory and I didn't hear anything for 2 weeks. After chasing them another one was sent out but within a day the front screen stopped working. Asked for another replacement but was fobbed off and told there was nothing in stock, also the guy on the phone partially blamed me for the problems. Very poor service, Avoid.
Bought a SuperSignal radio direct from REVO in December 2019. It was sold with a 2-year warranty. Now, some 20-months old it has developed a glitch whereby the sound cuts out for periods of 5 mins to a couple of hours. Quite arbitrary when it happens, and it's not a DAB signal issue - it happens across FM, DAB and Bluetooth. Initially I thought - no problem - it's covered by the warranty and went to contact REVO. Turns out that REVO has been sold to a German company called Telstar-Digital. I tried to call them but after 10 minutes of German messages it was clear that no-one was going to answer. So I emailed them - both via the form on their website (which said they get back to people in 24 hours) and also via regular email. Nothing. I tried tweeting @them. Again, nothing. So I find myself in a position where I have paid quite a lot of money for a radio that doesn't work properly that should be covered by a 2-year warranty, but thanks to REVO being taken over by Telstar, that warranty is worthless. Anyone buying a REVO product in 2021 needs to be aware that they are going to be spending a decent amount of money with ZERO after-sales support if something goes wrong. And as I and other reviewers have said, this silent SuperSignal issue seems to be a reasonably prevalent issue. How brave are you feeling?
