We dont offer military discounts because there have been too many wars and service men/women that we wouldnt be able to stay in business being a single store operation. Especially in California.

After many purchases made here I finally remembered to ask for a "military discount" and immediately it was shot down by employee "yeah, no". I rate this place 2 stars because they do sale good items and also sell many military items that me being a combat veteran can approve for use by other veterans.

Just read your complaint and Im very surprised to say the least. What really happened, and his father might not actually know, is that his son bought a pair of slip resistant Thorogood Boots on Saturday 8/28/21. He returned them on Monday with the soles covered in oil, saying that they werent really slip resistant. We told him that since there was no manufacturing defect and slip proof soles are not meant to work in puddles of oil that we probably wouldnt be able to get credit from the company. We asked him to leave the boots with us and to, on his own, please call Thorogood to explain his problem. We told him that customers (that is individuals) generally have much better luck gaining satisfaction from major companies than we do as retailers. Much better. Please let us know how they respond. He called back to say they wouldnt help him. So, trying to go to bat for one of our customers, I called my sales representative asking him for assistance as a personal favor. Within two hours he called back to say they were going to send a new pair for him. Shortly thereafter he returned and we were happy to let him know. He too, was happy and grateful for our efforts.

Don't Give You $-Money To A Company That's Not Willing To Backup the Product that They Sell 0r Warranty The Product This Not Not a place to shop when it comes shoes I have previously told my son never to shop for shoes at this place. Here's Is The story>> 0n Saturday 08/28/2021 My son purchased some Anti slip & Oil resistant shoes For $248.00 Dollar From Doughboy Surplus Being that my Son works on oily slippery surfaces He purchases a pair of THOROGOOD Steel Toe Boots On Monday the 08/30/2021 my Son was wearing his new THOROGOOD Boots but the boots didn't live up to expectations per my Son he was slipping all over the place at work with his new boots Which could have caused him a severe injury to himself. On Tuesday the 08/31/2021 I made a call to Dougbboys and told them the issues my Son had with New THOROGOOD Steel Toe Boots he had purchase from them And how the boots were a liability. Per Doughboys we were asked to take the shoes back and that they would Reach out to the manufacturing company would warranty the New THOROGOOD Steel Toe Boots. Later 0n Doughboy call us back telling us There was no warranty on the $248.00 THOROGOOD Boots My wife decided to call the Thorogood manufacturing and tell them the issues my Son had with his New Boots Thorogood then stated they had never received any complaints from Doughboys making claims about the boots.. No Way Do You Want Give Your Money Doughboys Company That's Not Willing To Backup The Product They Sell... *********************************************** Wednesday 09-01-2021 It's amazing that Doughboys would lie with there response WOW SMH, We called Thorogood Manufacturing 0urselves Doughboys Never helped us out...... No no puddles of oil really 0ily surfaces If they were puddles of oil the leather on the boots would have oils it get your story straight right...... And You Want People To Spend they're hard working money with you, come on no way......
