Let me first say: Thank You to all the office staff. Great people and always helpful. Me and my wife moved in to a brand new apartment that no one has lived before. The smell of new is amazing as you know. Great appliances, fireplace, 2 bedroom, one bath with double sink for $925 (+$10 pet deposit). That's all the good things I got to say. This apartment complex was rushed to be finished and rented. The lay out is terrible. There are cracks in the walls in our unit. Whoever designed and picked the outside gates is an idiot. We are in the new part of the complex and there is no walking way out. We have to go all around the other site to walk outside unless you want to try to bend the big gate. Cuz of people doing that there is 3 feet space between the two gates now, what a security measure is that. The apartment complex is NON smoking, YEAH right. Almost every night when we open the windows there is smell of cigarettes and pot filling in our living room. We complained to the office and talked to the neighbors no one cares. The outside landscape is well maintained except that no pet owner here cares to pick up after their pet. There is poop all over the place and it stinks when the weather is warm. We will be moving out after 10 months here so we do not know what the procedure will end up to be but I know this we are loosing around $245 (not sure the exact amount but its over $220) because we paid for BOND protection. That means that if there is something to be cleaned or fixed. North Glen gets the money from the bond company and after that they come to us to pay them back. That entire thing is a BIG SCAM to collect more money during move in but our other option was $1500 Deposit! Are you kidding me?!?!!? So we are gonna do our best to clean and hopefully we will not be charged anything extra So Be very careful when moving in here. There are a lot cheaper and with prime location apartments around here to consider. Like mentioned in another review for around same rent amount you can even buy a house probably. I will write another review in about 30 days, with our moving out experience.
This property has gotten out of control. They have so many rules that are over the top. The newest rule is that women need to wear a cover up to and from the pool... and for some reason it cant be cotton. Cotton? They charge you for garbage valet. You cant throw your own garbage away. But the restrictions on when you can and cant have your garbage container out makes it so you have garbage building up in your apartment. I could go on but I wont. If you dont want to feel like your living with a micro managing zealot of a parent dont move in these apartments.
The complex is well managed by IDM. The grounds are clean and well-kept, and the management is strict but fair on their expectations for how residents treat and maintain the property. Maintenance was always responsive, prompt, and thorough, and the staff in the office were kind, helpful, and always pleasant. While we did pay some hefty move-out fees, they were explained in detail upon our final walk through, and they were absolutely our resonsibility to cover. When we moved into the apartment, it looked like we were the first tenants, and it's reasonable that we should be responsible for leaving it the same way for the next tenants. The apartment we lived in (a 2X2) was spacious, spotlessly clean when we moved in, and we loved the layout. We faced the wildlife reserve, which provided a nice view, lovely bird song, and a great place to walk. It became smelly as the weather warmed up,and the frog poop we found on our cars was pretty outrageous, but overall, we enjoyed the unit. Our only real complaint was that we were in the upstairs unit and the people below us were bothered by the noise of our children being children. The living rooms are spacious and it's difficult to break up that space to give less potential for running and jumping. I wouldn't recommend trying to live with younger children on an upper floor unit. Our neighbors would have been better off if we were on the bottom!
Upon move in I went and wrote down ever little detail so we wouldn't get charged. I even went as far as the cabinets were not cleaned because they were not. The upstairs neighbors sounded like a herd of elephants that would start to blast their music at 730 am. I complained numerous time to the neighbor and office staff but nothing was done. Upon move out, my boyfriend and I went to schedule a walk thru but they refused stating they don't do it. DO NOT let them do this to you. We paid a $1600 deposit and ended up lost it all plus $400 for nonsense charges. We tried fighting them on this matter, but they threatened to send us to collections if we didn't pay our debt. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. The apartments weren't even nice enough to pay the amount we were paying. Nor is it in a convenient location unless you're obsess with Costco and/or home depot
