Beer is good. But service was awful ,server ignored us on purpose for 20 mints. First she asked us to pay before we finished, then, when we finished and wanted to pay, she on purpose didnt look in our direction. Not sure what it was, but it definitely spoiled all experience.
Stopped by with my wife for a beer after randomly spotting this place walking around. It is located a block west of Michigan Ave, which is far enough to escape the huge shopping crowds, but close enough to jump right into some shopping if you wanted to. We sat by the bar as it was open, and shared a flight of 6 beers, and then ordered our own. The beers all ranged from decent to very good, though, none blew me away (though, my wife thoroughly enjoyed the Lemon Shandy, so much so we brought a growler of it home). Granted, I'm not an avid fan of beer nor have a sophisticated enough palette to discern the complexities and flavors in the brews. My favorite of the 6 was the Secret Swell IPA as it was crisp and refreshing. The Lemon Shandy was also pretty good, and tasted exactly as described by our bartender, a Lemonhead; very sour with a lemon-forward taste. All in all, we certainly appreciate the location of the brewery and would like to stop by again to have some food next time along with a good beer!
It was hard for me to appreciate this place since they almost exclusively had IPAs on tap. I must have gotten really unlucky since that didn't always seem to be the case (based on Google pictures). If you prefer other styles or just like variety, this really is not the brewery to visit. I was also not a fan of the arbitrary PPE charge that was added to my bill.
