You were upset because you bought a secondhand tyre from somewhere and when we checked it found a lump which was dangerous We explained that often secondhand tyres have dangerous defects such as bulges/lumps, cuts etc as most people just look at the tread and not the sidewall The indicator has to have the correct colour bulb and yours has a number of bulbs insides which more than half not operational hence failed, and as the mirror indicator (also known as a side repeater) is vitally important to warn a cyclist of your intention to turn left The headlight adjuster you refer to cannot adjust one headlight but can only adjust both simultaneously Hence when you had the mot inspection carried out you failed on one headlight too high (impossible to adjust ONE headlight with the headlight adjuster switch inside the car) You then took the car away, used the adjuster switch inside the car which moves both headlights and when you came back for the retest both headlights had moved because of your operation of internal headlight adjuster switch, hence you failed on both headlights too low Your time would not have been wasted if you had repairs carried out at a garage who have headlight aim testing equipment- unfortunately many garages do not invest in such equipment because of the capital required Our mot failures come with a free retest so there is customer choice on where they spend their money We are also in the top Green rating in the country for Mot testing standards and abide by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute dispute resolution charter

They are thiefs please read my feedback before do anything with empire company . Basically I took my car to get mot They failed because of 3 reasons. My tyre had a lump but they they said your head light is too high but my car is a golf that means u can adjust the headlight from inside the car, And second thing is he said the mirror indicator isnt shiny ,but fully works. The day after I changed my indicator and my tyre but I didnt do anything with my lights because my mechanic said its fine just they looking for make money from u . He said now your lights are too low , was frustrating because I didnt even touch it. Left there and I bring my car to another mot service they said u r car is ok. they wasted my time and my money they are thiefs not business men

I got done by a sale job. 750 was very high for new pads, aircon, service and an exhaust bracket fit. Considering I had a car in good working order to start, I ended up with a worse car - not what you want from a garage. The Brakes rattle, discs now squeak. The exhaust also rattles at certain revs, suspected bracket fitting issue. You have to justify the issues every time, and intermittent faults are hard to replicate.. I have been back to resolve these issues too many times now, I no longer want to justify why the car needs looking at once again, I have found a couple other garages who have really helped correct the issues. After so many visits, the spark plugs were downgraded then reverted to the ones I installed. The brakes were upgraded to Brembo, then downgraded to stock, I was given the privilege of not being charged more for the downgrade.. This stopped some of the scraping sounds on cornering, wonderful that my car is worse off for the visit, short of the exhaust bracket. Exhaust rattles continue. Rear discs adjusted twice, still have issues. Aircon gas was charged higher than what they advertised, aircon cooling is almost non existent after 1 month. All requests for reductions for the above issues were refused. +simple service. +if you need an emissions test. +full check up, but expect high pricing. I'm sure the service is usually good, this is just a reflection of my experience - mediocre at best. I will say the free waters on each visit were well received, a nice touch that retains 2 stars over 1. Good luck!
