TLDR: This is the place to go if you like being ignored and lied to. I had a poor customer service experience here. I ordered a kayak online from Ocean Kayak and had it delivered to the Doral Adventure Sports location to save on shipping costs. No one from Adventure Sports contacted me about the kayak arriving at their store. It sat there for 9 business days before I was able to get someone from the store on the phone to confirm where my kayak was. First of all, I called the store 4 times (during business hours) on 2 different days and left a voicemail. No one returned my voicemail and they do not answer their phone. I emailed them via their website since I could not get them on the phone. While I was waiting for them to email or call me, I was getting pretty worried that maybe something happened to my order or that it would get returned. So I decided to call the store non-stop (like a crazy person) until I annoyed someone into answering the phone. It worked. It took 10 calls in a row btw. So finally I got someone to confirm that my kayak was there before driving an hour out of my way to pick it up. The guy on the phone (Josh, maybe?) told me that they were "wondering" about the kayak because it arrived with no labels or markings. Well, that was the first lie. When I picked it up, there was a white label (about 6" x 8") with red and black lettering that said "action required" and explained that a customer ordered this kayak from Ocean Kayak and asked for it to be delivered to a vendor for pick up. It then went on to list my full name, an 800 number the store needed to call to verify that the kayak was received and an order #. It couldn't have been anymore clear and it was pretty hard to miss, if you have eyes. I also got a reply to my email right around the time I had gotten a hold of the store on the phone. But this is where the second lie occurred. The email from Monica Mejia stated that their phone "has been down". Weird, considering it rang everytime I called, I was able to leave a voicemail, and someone answered the phone eventually. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars is because the two guys there loaded the kayak into my truck and were more or less friendly. I still need a paddle, pfd, other safety equipment, and a kayak cart. Adventure Sports could have probably made more money off me from all of the accessories I need rather than if I had bought the kayak directly from them, but I will never do any business with them again.
Had so much fun! The service was so great and everyone was super friendly. It was great being out on the water. I cant wait to come back and do another rental with them. Highly recommend coming here and renting from them!
***WHAT TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. STAY AWAY*** I bid on and won an ebay auction for a pair of sunglasses from adventure sports. I selected local pick-up as my delivery option. On my day off, I drove out to their store and was greeted by a "closed sign" at noon on a friday (when hours on the door said they were open). The following moday, they messaged me to inform me that they didn't even have the item that I had already purchased and paid for... ***WHAT TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. STAY AWAY***
