I want to make mention that this is NOT my first time visiting a Nobu location. This is however my first experience visiting this particular Nobu. I’ve visited (on a number of occasions) both the Nobu in Las Vegas, as well as Malibu. (Malibu is by far my favorite due to atmosphere and service)… While the Nobu here in Chicago is esthetically pleasing, service was horrible. And if you’ve dined at Nobu then you know the price you’ll spend isn’t cheap, so you just expect good service. I was here celebrating my birthday along with 3 other women (I am the only African American woman amongst my group). Our server who was a Caucasian women w/glasses, was adamant about serving every one BUT me. So much so, I had to abruptly stop her before she walked away, just to place my dinner order. As I finished my 1st course, I was hoping she’d come back, check on the table, see how things were going, and she never did. So I stopped a gentleman to ask for a beverage (the original server never asked if I wanted anything to drink other than water), as well as to place an additional order for food. Once she did make it back to our table and took my order, my 2nd dish never came. Once I realized all of my guest were finished with their meals, I realized I STILL didn’t have my 2nd course. The server comes back and says “I’m sorry, I forgot about that”… Yeah, 1st and last time at Nobu Chicago. I’ll stick to the West Coast for true dining experience.
Lovely staff, amazing service - that's what we're all about, Khoja Pymanee! Thank you for your great feedback. We eagerly await your next visit!

The reason I’m leaving this post is because of the host who seated us. Her customer service was superb. I wish I can remember her name. However, she was I believe a young Latin lady.she deserves a raise. Our waitress wasn’t bad as well.
Great atmosphere and location! If that’s what you are looking for, you are in the right place. Sushi quality is good, not great or excellent and prices are way exaggerated. For example the seaweed from the spicy tuna hand roll is mushy, not crunchy. And the size of the spicy tuna hand roll is small compared to any other sushi restaurant I have been. The warm cooked cod is excellent and properly priced. That would be the focus of my dinner if I would need to go back
