We booked this hoping for an enjoyable time away, instead it turned into a nightmare. Having paid our balance in full - 2,000 the host informed us they had to cancel to to new Covid restrictions (Certainly not our fault). The host refused to offer us a refund and instead insisted we were only to have a credit note for a future booking... Upon reluctantly attempting to re-book the host informed us he would not be honouring the booking price we paid we now had to pay a total of 3,000 meaning our group had to cough up an extra 1,000 between us or face losing our initial 2,000. The customer service provided throughout was utterly terrible and I cannot recommend staying here due to their cowboy polices which seem to be made up as they go along. To make things more frustrating there appear to be others in the same boat who wrote negative reviews and got a refund which we were never offered.
The cottage had good outside space, but the inside was very cramped. You couldn't fit more beds in in you tried, with no room for luggage. Decent enough for a hen party, but I wouldn't want to do more than 2 nights in a fully occupied cottage
Hi Jessica. We were very pleased to previously hear that you enjoyed your stay at New Year so are disappointed with your star rating. All our properties were partially redecorated before Christmas but if you had let us know there was a cleaning issue, we would have immediately had that rectified. Not recommend anyone. Very crammed. So many damages and charge us far too much money for long weekend. Staff were careless with cleaning too and very pride of their own family business.
