We have been camping here for over a decade. We have had nothing but wonderful camping experiences. This past June everything changed. We had a terrible experience with one of the owners. We were verbally assaulted and physically threatened. He even called one of my family members fat. We will NEVER camp here again. We called the office several times and nobody had the courtesy to respond to us. AVOID this campground at all costs. The new owners are NOT nice people.
My husband and I were thinking of switching campgrounds for next season and we were in the area, so we stopped by to see if we could take a look around. Older gentleman at the gate chuckled derisively and said, "Uhh, no. Not this weekend. But you can have a map." Roger that. The snobbery is strong with this campground. My grandparents used to have a trailer here 20+ years ago and it was a nice little family resort. Shame that it was yuppified and staffed with rude individuals. We'll be looking elsewhere.
We stayed last weekend, and we had the best time ever. We rented the Rustic Cabin and it was great. We will definitely back next year for possibly a week as well.
Hi Henry! Thank you for the kind words! We're glad you and your group had a great time. We look forward to seeing you again!

Extremely disappointed in how a family campground handles things. My dad is staying at the campground for the week. I was bringing my daughters to visit tomorrow for Father's Day. My husband is away for work. He ended up moving things around so he could be home earlier tomorrow and was going to come with us (it's Father's Day so he wants to spend the day with his kids, of course). My step mom called to get him added and they told her she couldn't add him because it wasn't 48 hours in advance. So now my husband spends the day without his kids or we don't go. I can see not allowing people to randomly show up but with 24 hour notice, this seems a bit controlling and unreasonable. We are big time campers and would have loved to add Pine Acres to our list but we will go elsewhere! I gave it 2 stars because I've been and what they have is great but I can't support a family campground who can't understand that things change, especially with families!
