Never again. I had a string of five BMWs over the last ten years. I don't believe I ever had a service experience like this one. I would rather go out of my way than have my vehicle serviced at Santa Monica BMW.
Communication was terrible. It ended up taking a week when I was supposed to pick it up initially after a few hours. Still not sure why. Im also not sure they fixed everything because I got a new warning light on my way home. Would have expected more from a brand like BMW.
I worked with Alex in sales. Had some glitches in delivery but he's a nice guy. Not overly pushy or aggressive just easy going and straightforward. He knew all the bells n whistles in the car. I located the car I wanted as it was scheduled to arrive to the dealership. The X5 Dr40e hybrid is a solid SUV. The features n appearance make Tesla look and feel like a toy. Cannot wait for all electric model. Would return to Alex at Santa Monica!
I had a great experience at Santa Monica BMW, especially when compared with another dealer I'd had service my i3. At Santa Monica BMW, they respected my time and provided me with updates on my car's status through texts and quick-time video. Cesar was professional and helpful, and my car was ready for pick-up earlier than estimated!
Sent my car there because check engine light on. Picked up my car after a day. Check engine light is still on. Plus grease on passenger seat. Tried to call and text the service line but no one answered. Reserved a loaner 2 weeks in advance and got a half priced much smaller viehcle. Much inconvenience. Avoid at all cost.
