Mr. Mayo, I've reserved my reply for weeks, until I got over the initial shock of your review. The only unprofessional/shady person involved in our dealings was you, sir. You hired me to serve your estranged child's mother a custody complaint. I coordinated with your attorney to get the paperwork by mail (you reside in another state) and secure my fee. I waited eight days to get the documents from your attorney in the mail. Eight days. The day it hit my mailbox, I attempted my FIRST service that afternoon. I sent you a text with a picture of the vehicle you claimed was the subject's. No one came to the door. I made another attempt two days later while on a case nearby. Again, the vehicle was present, but no one came to the door. A few days later I made another attempt and had the same results. I decided that another measure was necessary, since the residence wasn't working. I informed you of my intention to coordinate with the school resource officer at your child's school, so that I could serve her in the drop-off/pick-up line (and not get arrested). You AND you attorney knew this was in the works, but you decided to insert yourself into the situation and stalk your estranged child's mother's home. Remember that? You text me that she was currently at home, because you had seen her going to the mailbox. You said that you wanted to "get us together". You said "you can get her right now". I told you that you were probably in the commission of a class A1 misdemeanor. I called your lawyer to inform him of what you were up to, because I feared that you might get picked up by Kernersville Police, who would give no quarter to an out-of-state ex, creeping around their community. I reluctantly set aside another job and headed to Kernersville to placate you and hopefully keep you out of jail. I made another attempt with the same results. As I passed by the subject's vehicle, I noticed her window was down. I dropped the complaint in the driver's side seat and pulled down the street to see if she came out. My intention was to photograph her entering the car and picking up the complaint. (This would be enforceable service based on Rule 4 of SC Rules of Civil Procedure .) Unfortunately, once I set up at a reasonable distance, I realized that in my haste to please you, I hadn't brought my camera. I wouldn't be able to capture physical evidence of her with the paperwork in hand. I would have no proof that she was knowledgeable of the summons. I couldn't get the paperwork back at that point, so the attempt was a bust. Would that have happened but for your intrusion? I spoke to your attorney later in the afternoon and relayed the day's events. He begged me not to give up, despite your intrusions. I said I would consider going forward with the school idea, if he would wrangle you in. The next day you posted this mess. All this for $150. Good luck to you, sir.
