James, Sorry to hear about your experience with our team. Tom had to take a quick leave of absence and I have been filling in for him while he's gone. Is there anyway that I can help you? Our apologies. Thanks, Zach R. Hinkle

I called for an estimate and a Tom Harvey came out. Tom seemed disinterested in my ideas to the point I quit trying to talk with him and ask questions as it truly seemed I was annoying him. Tom left a packet but did not explain anything inside it, I read through on my own later with no input from Tom. I was told I would get my estimate back in a couple days, well ten days later I called and was told it would be done in a couple more days and it was. They want 50% up front which is not unheard of but I struggled with having to ask to get an estimate twice. They treated me like I didn't know anything about the project I wanted to complete. I called and tried to talk to Zack Hinkle the owner but he did not return my calls. My project was estimated about 15K which is in the ball park but not for a company that treats people the way they treated me.
Cindy, I will be reaching out to you about your patio to come and take a look. We should be able to get this resolved for you. Thanks, Zach Hinkle

Edited: After just 3 months we started noticing cracks in the patio and after 6 months we had 5 or more cracks that were all 3 feet long or longer. Hinkle agreed to "fill" them, but we could not get anyone other than the foreman to come out and talk with us and see what the problem was. Just kept being told cracks will happen but that is why we replaced the concrete slab we had and salesman lead us to believe that cracks would not happen with their process. From our research, we don't believe the concrete cured properly in the winter temps and that's what's causing the issue. Also the "stamp" left rough edges and divots which they said was "normal" and we were told they wouldn't chip....they have! For the money we paid we expected better! (Project started timely and was completed quickly. Crew even went out of their way to make temporary access for our two "senior" pups. New stamped patio looks great and can't wait until the weather warms up to use it. From sales to the crew, everyone was friendly and easy to work with.)
Enjoyed my experience with Hinkle Hardscapes to the fullest. It all started with the designer coming to our house. After giving him a rough idea of what we wanted to do he came up with a design and stayed in our budget too. The crew who did the work were great they not only got right after it they would stop and ask me if I had any questions and would explain to me why they were doing something that way. The office crew kept me in the loop and made sure all things were good with me. One thing I checked out was reviews and how fast they get to your job. The thing I learned is that if a concrete company can get to you right away they are not that good or in demand. All great things are worth waiting for and they were worth the wait. Once they started they got the job done in the time they said it would be. Great job guys!!!
Hinkle Hardscapes does an amazing, professional job. My wife, daughter and I left for vacation for 2 weeks and, during that time, HH showed up, built out an extended patio, rerouted two downspouts, built a wonderful, semi-circle stairstep out of pavers, as well as built an amazing, cedar pergola, just in time for us to arrive back from the airport. This was a complete, surprise anniversary gift to my wife and HH did a great job of keeping it under the radar so she wouldn't even know something was happening. Thank you and great work, Hinkle Hardscapes!
As Casey mentioned, he was kind enough to trust us to do a really nice hardscape project at his residence. As he mentioned, it did turn out BEAUTIFUL- thank you Casey! While we try to alleviate mistakes during construction, sometimes mistakes happen. We are really sorry about the crew bumping into the mailbox. As Casey mentioned, we fixed all mistakes as soon as possible, to ensure the end product turned out great. At Hinkle Hardscapes, we take great pride in making sure every project we do looks great- even if we have to go back and fix some mistakes without the homeowner incurring any additional costs, as Casey can attest. That was the case here. When Casey made us aware of the area missed by the trowel under the egress window a couple of months ago, we were in the middle of our busy season and we've been particularly short handed during COVID. I told Casey we would try to get out there as soon as possible- however, as he stated, that did take us a couple of months. We apologize for the delay in getting out there. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help.

Looks beautiful, but poor quality. We hired Hinkle to pour a big round patio with a seating area and a grill station. We went ahead and went with the most expensive bid (Hinkle Hardscapesjust shy of $12,000). Problems from the very beginning First, poured the patio 4 inches taller than the rest of the patio.lol (they fixed the mistake) Second, crew backed into our mailbox and just left it. Thank god we had a nest camera (they fixed after I showed them the footage) Third, crew left a huge HUGE hole in the concrete (hidden under the egress ledge so hard to see). Hole collects water and is now leaking into our finished basement. now, of course, causing mold issues. Ken, the owner, said theyd come out and fix the hole. That was 2 months ago. Again, nice people. The end product LOOKS beautiful. But for 12k I never thought Id end up with this many problems + water into the foundation.
