THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD IN LA after 13 plus years dining in LA!! Do not go there especially if you are a woman!!! The owner manager thinks he solves problems by comping the check. The issue is how and when he delivers inappropriate feedback which the waiter of the table disagrees with. The chef chooses to back his bestie of 14 years versus the hard working patrons that are happy to pay for the meal! We are working women that can afford it we dont need your comp to make your rudeness go away!! I have never written a review so believe me, stay away from this place! .
Drew the Manager was incredibly rude to me. There was an issue with the meal and when I asked to speak with with him he would not listen and kept interrupting me. He clearly thinks he’s better than other people and has too much pride to accept that there could be a problem with a plate. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else where they care about the customers.
This restaurant is one of my favorites, and I always order the chef's tasting menu when I go. The plating is creative and playful, with sea urchin adorned with spines and ice cream dusted in yellow powder. I once tried a special course where several chefs from other restaurants collaborated on the dishes, and while there was one course with ponzu sauce and truffles (I forget what else was in it) where the truffle aroma was disappointingly absent, that's really my only complaint. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it an easy and enjoyable place to visit. Next time, I want to try the sea urchin pasta!
Pretty well rounded tasting menu but we felt being rushed at the end of the meal.
