Mrs. Brown, I'm sorry I was not able to help you comprehend our policy of our free service in providing you a materials and labor quote. I fear you still do not understand that the two choices you were given pricing for varied by the $3,000.00 difference, "Not the labor". Your difference in the two materials was solely in the cost of the two "Material" selections you chose. The labor did not change for either selection. We only install our materials in our customer's homes and our estimates are to supply and install said materials, we do not have shady practices. Pro Flooring has been servicing our customer's in North East, MD for over 18 years, and I have never engaged in shady business practices. I'm sorry we were not able to help you in your purchase, and please have a good day!

This place has really poor customer service and extremely shady business practices. I was choosing between two different flooring options, both vinyl plank. One option was $4.60/ square foot and the other was $7.40l square foot for approximately 1400 sq feet. The prices I was quoted were $10,500 versus $13,400. Based on my square footage, this means that the less expensive option would be about $3,000 in install costs and the more expensive option would be $1,000 on install costs. I asked the owner, Mike, to please explain the difference in pricing, and he said that it was a business practice not to disclose what the cost per square foot is of the entire project. He repeatedly told me I didn't understand that what I was asking was confidential and intentional business practice not to share this information. I told him I was not comfortable paying $7,000 in a deposit up front without knowing exactly what it's for. He told me I simply didn't understand and then said have a nice day and hung up on me. Extremely appalling service. I'll be taking our business elsewhere. What a shame. Edit: based on Mike's response below, this is an extremely shady business practice. I simply want to know what the breakdown is of what is labor versus material. Mike has not provided me an itemized statement of labor cost. This is shady and not a standard business practice.

We had all our flooring replace about 7 years ago after a fire. We wanted a local company to do the work. I had met Mike a few months earlier. We got a great job with a fair price and everything Mike recommended turned out just as we hoped for. When I first started the job with Mike he said always covered no matter what and he would stretch the carpet when ever it was needed. I have been to the shop and spoke to his wife and daughter about this several times but I am getting no response from Mike. I suspect that he and my son who owns a local business as well had a disagreement over something and I am not going to be serviced because of it . The work overall was great but now that I have to find someone to stretch the carpet and repair the tile that are coming up I have to say I am sorry that I didnt go to Lowes. Just wanted to let others know what you might expect if youre looking for a local to do your work

Very poor costumer service. The owner was rude and unwilling to handle a mistake that they made with professionalism in anyway. The sales contract was broken with no willingness to resolve the issue that they created. I simple gesture would have made the entire situation completely different but instead I was treated very rudely with the owner actually hanging up the phone with no resolution to the breach of contract.
