I was driving by one day about a month-month-and-a-half ago and told my buddy I saw this nice, 2010 silver S-550 (w/ the AMG sport package) for sale at luxury cars of queens. I only called him because I knew he possibly wanted to buy a Mercedes for his son who just graduated college and got his masters degree with honors. The car looked absolutely beautiful from the outside and if I didn't know any better from 100 feet away I would've thought it was brand new. My buddy went there and spoke to a salesman, and the owner who refused to budge on the price which was the exact retail book value. Although , the carfax report stated the car was stolen and recovered a little over a year ago w/ little or no damage reported, which probably isn't a big deal he was in for a big surprise Lol . However, im sure people who are familiar w/ the proper channels, which need to be taken when looking up the history of any used car know that Carfax usually only gives you half of a vehicles accident and service history-if it even gives you that..So my buddy decided to take it a step further and check the records only Mercedes Benz would have access to in their computer system through a friend he has over there, which reflected not only was this car damaged pretty good from the accident, but when his friend entered the VIN # to check this vehicle in the Mercedes Benz computer system the car came up as a "STATUS 8", which means because it was stolen and recovered any parts that are bought from the dealer in the future (regardless of whether you have a warrantee or aftermarket warrantee) can not be warranted, and any recall that car may have in the future can't be warranted either. So even if you buy this car w/ the best aftermarket warrantee not only is the warrantee company going to possibly find out about this in the future, but depending on which company it is they could even terminate your warrantee in its entirety leaving you completely stuck . In addition, even if they don't find out you obviously can't bring it to the dealer to get fixed even if the aftermarket warranty company is willing to pay for it because as soon as the dealer punches your Vin # in the system and realizes it's a "STATUS 8" they're going to inform your warrantee company that none of the parts they buy are warranteed, which may also cause the dealer to sell you "GOD KNOWS WHAT" (an empty box for all we know Lol) on top of the fallout you're going to have to deal with from your warranty company because why would they want to warrantee a car (a Mercedes S550 no less) when the parts they have to pay for (which they know are very expensive coming from Mercedes) aren't even warranted. I could go on and on with about 7-8 other negative things that come along with a car that the dealer has labeled a "STATUS 8" but I'm sure the readers get the point..Which is "STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS CAR", (VIN # WDDNG8GB8AA304699), and make sure you're very careful with any and all dealings you make with "Luxury cars of Queens" because TRUST ME looks could be deceiving.
Just recently got my FIRST car from this dealership! And honestly it was a great experience for my first time! They are really patient and friendly! They tell you straight up what you gotta do and how to do it! They didnt play any games or pressure me into getting anything like how the dealers down the road did! They let me test drive the car as well. Since Im from out of state they also allowed me to send in some of the additional paperwork they needed! Overall I had an amazing experience. And would definitely get another car from them again! Very professional, 10/10 would recommend to everyone who needs a reliable car for a good price!
I had such a great experience during my purchase of a Chevorlet Suburban at Luxor Livery Sales that I returned to purchase my 2015 Buick LaCrosse from them. The staff is very knowledgeable and straight forward. Reasonable pricing.
