$200 prophet quad sport charger started to die a week after i bought it, one side just quit working now it wont even turn on!!! customer service is a joke. they want me to print documents off and have them signed and included to get the defective product i bought fixed....did I mention its costing almost $50 to have it shipped to them and back to me....$250 and i have a paperweight!!! way to go Horizon...dont even get me started on the 2 super cheap built planes I bought either....this company is all about that bottom dollar....the one that goes straight to their pockets!!!!
I feel like this has to be said right now as a warning to anyone looking to make a big purchase with tower hibbies. Right now might not be the time. I have been hearing from multiple groups about poor customer service lately and horrible long wait times for parts and warranted service. I have heard many people getting defective electronics and then being told it would be months for replacement parts. I purchased a Arrma limitless brand new from Tower hobbies (as they are horizon hobby). It arrived but was missing some screws and I could tell spoiler was installed poorly as it was unfashioned correctly. I installed my electronics and could immediately tell there was diff issues. This was a return I called Horizon hobby and was told to send it to them. They would get my new one and send it out right away. I said no I wanna just return. They talked me into doing it this way. They said it would be quicker. They accepted my package on the 15th a week ago. They havent even looked at it yet. I called them yesterday. They acted as if they were doing me a favor by even looking. They then went on to say they have it but havent even loooked at it yet as they are so far behind. I asked when they would look at it. She said they will get to it when they can. They are too busy ,it craY busy Arrma has responded to my problem asking me to send them more detailed videos of the issue. I quickly write them back asking how to take a video of the car when they have it in there custody. Arrma has since ignored my email. So I guess I just wait and see if horizon hobby plans on ripping me off abd I have to go through better business or what they are gonna do. People should be warned. I wouldnt make a purchase from Horizon hobby right now. They seem like they need to catch up get things right first.
