I asked for details for the gym some month ago, asking about the programming they followed and some other question. Their response was not very nice, getting to the point where the were calling me pushy. Not a place where I plan to work out in the future.
I can't honestly say what this gym is like once you get inside as I didn't even get to that stage. What I did do was send an email enquiry and received a phone call from one of the trainers, who I can only describe as rather abrupt. I was asked a lot of questions about where I lived, why I wanted to travel to Milton Keynes to train, the travelling times, why I wouldn't find anywhere closer to home. Sadly the tone of these questions did not come across as friendly curiosity, more a grilling to see if I was worthy of a membership. I was interrupted frequently, and then, despite already answering his questions and clearly explaining where I lived, I was asked why I apparently actually lived in Essex and worked for Avon. I was a little taken aback as I have done neither for several years, and this was information he admitted he got from googling my phone number - weird and creepy! I was then told I would receive all information on the classes and booking an introduction 'straight away', something I have still not received to this date. I can only assume my answers were deemed inadequate for joining - fine, but a little honesty would have been nice. Overall, a very off-putting experience, particularly for someone who was already quite nervous about the prospect of joining.
