Been waiting over a year for MLGW to come fix the sidewalk that they broke up repairing our neighbor's service. We've called them about it twice and still haven't gotten anyone to come out. I guess they're waiting for someone to get hurt and sue them before they do anything about it?
It was horrible! I was in the cold for the entire weekend. This incident happened January 11th. The house I'm renting already had the lights on but not the gas. So all I had to do was transfer service in my name. I informed the lady, once I was called to the back, that the gas was not on, the maintenance men told me, & that the house was cold with only cold water as well. She told me according to the computer/system the gas was on. I told her again that it was not & she told me it was again. Then she said a technician would be out either today or tomorrow(Saturday at that time) to check it out & to stay by the phone because they'll call before they come. Well she lied; no one ever called or showed up. I called the customer service number first time(Monday) & they informed that was a lie because you have to be present when turning on gas because the technician needs access to the inside & outside of the house. The technician comes & only knocks on the front door. I didn't hear it so now I'm still in the cold!!!!! Second time I called customer service she gave me more detailed information & I added the request to come to the side door because I didn't hear the front last time. Finally gas & hot water are present! Still in the cold because furnace needed work which was on my rental company. This entire incident could've been avoided if the lady would have attentively adjusted to my complaint of no gas in the first place. She didn't inform me of the proper procedure when turning on the gas.
