I have been looking for a new laptop for some time. It is so very overwhelming with all the different types and brands available. Ron listened to what I was looking for and made a couple of recommendations that were perfect for me. Thanks Ron for all your help!
Would not recommend going to RAM Computer Services for computer repair unless you are knowledgable of computers. I feel that I have an average understanding of how to navigate through windows, storing data and web browsing RAM agreed to upgrade to Windows 10, replace the battery, and back up my stored personal data on a terabyte external drive. At first, they only backed up pictures. We had talked about picture storage methods in addition to backing up on the external drive which I provided. When he was going to charge me $80+ for backing up photos only, which I could have done, I reminded him that there was much more to be backed up that I was unable to succeed in doing. So he said he would back up all documents and photos. I picked up my laptop after paying $220 with instructions to call back with laptop turned on in order to set up for remote support if there were any issues (I am not familiar with Windows 10) and for future support.Within 2 hours of returning home last Friday I called and left a message. Also on Monday and Tuesday of this week. Still no return call from RAM. There is an error message that my laptop is unable to backup to my external drive, I unable to find my printer, and have not support. I normally can spend time resolving issues on my own, but basic. Communication with the RAM representative was difficult and now apparently non-existent. I will have to find another computer support service.
