Wonderful sport, great tournaments, excellent center at Flushing, but the USTA could not care less about the rank and file members, those enjoying the sport without a serious ranking. It is a rigid, bureaucratic and entitled association structured to cater to elite players only. Its officers deserve a spank every once in a while. Its website is a wreck to navigate, convoluted and inefficient, its sign-up policies are arrogant. The USTA ignores its basic members, they do not represent a source of revenue sufficient enough to register on the gratitude scale used by management. The USTA, in the end, is about promoting making money through the sport, not the love of tennis.
