I've gotten tattooed twice at BangBang, I really enjoyed both experiences. While my tattoos were great, they really gouge in pricing here. The standard rate for most top tier artist is $250.00 an hour. Some artist here charge $1,500 for the first hour and then $500 for each hour after. It varies depending on the artist but most of them grossly overcharge. Ultimately, does this matter? Yes, because alot of times at BangBang, the work you get is not commersurate with the amount of money spent. Ultimately, it hurts the Tattoo community when one shop grossly overcharges for tattoos. I would recommend checking out the many amazing shops and talented artist across NYC, before plunking down your hard earned money for a couple lines and dots at Bangbang.

To preface, I have been talking about getting work done from Bang for years. I have shared their work with my family and friends, and was extremely excited to finally get the chance to get a tattoo from them. The first consultation appointment that I scheduled with Rob was apparently forgotten on their end to schedule despite me receiving multiple text and email confirmations about this date and time. When I called the day of to check in about the texts I received, they acted as if they had no idea about my appointment. They apologized and then rescheduled it for this afternoon, and then again I never received a call DESPITE being in text contact with someone from the shop. They ghosted me. No business should be able to treat their customers with this level of disrespect, and its honestly a disgrace to know that a brand as loved as Bang has this level of unprofessionalism in their shop. I will never be wasting my time with them again.

Michelle is a rockstar from the consult to the actual tattoo completion! It was a surprise for hubs for Fathers Day and she was so professional, accommodating, and sweet. She knew the piece was special to us cuz its our twin daughters heartbeats who we lost to preterm labor. She took the time to translate the heartbeats to sound waves cuz my husband is an audiophile and didnt hesitate to resketch the whole thing cuz hubs wanted it smaller than we originally discussed. Were going back for a touch up in a few weeks cuz of how fine the lines are that she did that the ink isnt holding well in some spots but the work is impeccable! I love bang bang and Michelle!

Tried using their online form to get an appointment for a refresh/upgrade on a tattoo Ive had done elsewhere . Had to call to get them to start replying (which took multiple tries on the phone to have anyone pick up on different days). Finally got an email response back a month later that says the artists selected arent willing to do a redo (understandable) but they will keep forwarding to the other artists and get back to me with responses. Never heard back (now its been 2 months). Not worth the effort, not professional .
